Due to Thanksgiving Break beginning Wednesday, we only have 2 days of school this upcoming week. Crazy! We will not have a newsletter sent home today. We will not have homework sent home on Monday and we will not be doing word ring testing next week.
Use this as an opportunity to read together, work on those word rings at home, and most importantly spend quality time with FAMILY as we celebrate what we are thankful for. Enjoy your turkey break :)

John Judge is our Student of the Week. He is such a special kid and we just love having him in class. He is kind to everyone and is always a great listener. John just moved into a new home that he loves! He said that right now he shares a room with his sister but soon he gets his very own bedroom! John loves the color green, loves the BEARS and the TIGERS, and his favorite food is "Pasghetti." :) John also said that his favorite shirt is his batman PJ shirt with a cape on the back. Maybe we can see that someday after we earn a Pajama Day!
This week in Math RTI we are working on identifying teen numbers and writing teen numbers in a teen packet, graphing and shape recognition, and identifying numbers 0-30. We get to play a number game on our iPads called 123 Ninja where we listen to the number, find the number, and swipe the number. We also get to play a game called "I have, Who has." This lets us practice our number recognition.
Here are our Thanksgiving turkeys that our parents helped us make during Parent Stations! We love them! Mitekie is our Student of the Week! We have another gal in our class with a large family. Mitekie has 9 people in her family and 4 animals! Wow. We love having Mitekie in our class. Her smile lights up a room and is extremely contagious.
We found out her favorite color is pink, her favorite food is pizza, her favorite book is Happy Birthday Moon, and her favorite TV Show is Full House. Full House was also one of Mrs. Ley's favorite shows :) Thanks Mitekie for sharing more about you and we can't wait to learn more as you bring in show & tell all week long. |
